  The Founder and two Owners of CPLA are all Master Level Social Workers.  Combined they have over 75 years of working with children and families right here in New Orleans.  They are dedicated to servicing their community.

  Our Lead teachers all hold a Child Development Associate Credential certified by the Council for Professional Recognition. All of our Lead Teachers have attended intensive training on developmental screening assessments, Teachstone CLASS Observation tool, CPR & First Aid Certified and they have all scored a Proficient CLASS score or higher. 

  As part of making our centers safe we, have made them smart.  This means we have integrated things like smart thermostats, wireless surveillance systems with IP cameras and keyless entry.  This allows the owners to monitor the centers from anywhere.  These upgrades are in place to protect the children and employees. 

CPLA utilizes this on ongoing assessment tool for children enrolled from birth to 5 years old.  It helps our teachers observe children in their everyday experiences.  This form of observation is an effective way to learn what they know and can do.
